- Labourchere – This betting strategy is a little more complicated and involves some input from players. Players will need to write down a three-number sequence. For this example, let’s say your sequence is 5-6-10. For your first bet, you will add the first and last number together and bet AU$15. If you win, you then cross off the first and last numbers in the sequence and bet the middle number, in this case, AU$6. If you lose, take your first bet amount and add it to the last number in the sequence, AU$15 + AU$10, and bet AU$25. Continue with this sequence of betting the middle number after a win and adding the previous bet to the last number in the sequence following a loss.
- D’Almbert – The D’Almbert Betting strategy involves the player deciding on a base bet amount. And increase by this base bet after a loss. If you decide your base bet is AU$2, you will increase your bet by AU$2 after each loss. If you lose a string of rounds, your betting sequence would be AU$2, AU$4, AU$6, AU$8, AU$10 etc. When you win, you reset back to the base bet amount. This is a negative progressive betting system but is not as aggressive as some others out there.
- Martingale – This is one of the best-known betting strategies out there. Martingale is a Negative Progressive Roulette Strategy, meaning you increase your bet after a loss. With the Martingale strategy, you double your bet after a loss. If you start with AU$1, the betting sequence is as follows: AU$1, AU$2, AU$4, AU$8, AU$16, AU$32, AU$64, AU128, and so on. The plus side of this strategy is that even after a long losing streak when you win, you will win back all your losses, plus your original bet. The drawback is that it is a very aggressive betting strategy, and it doesn’t take too many losses to require large bets to stick to the sequence.
- Paroli – The Paroli Roulette strategy is, in many ways, the opposite of the Martingale. This is a positive progressive, meaning you increase your wager after a win. In this case, you double your bet after a win. If you bet AU$5, your sequence would be 5, 10, 20, 40 etc. Another change is that you always revert to your base bet after three wins. This stops your required bet from getting too large.
- Reverse Martingale – For the true opposite of the Martingale, we have the Reverse Martingale. Here you double your bet after each win and keep on doing so. There is no safety measure, like Paroli, where you revert to the base bet after a certain number of wins. It is up to the player to decide when to revert back.
